A Little Help is Needed in the RedStick.....

I am a member of RedStick Freeuse which is Baton Rouge's version of Freecyle. Recently I received an email from the group from a lady named Rita. She was seeking preemie clothing as well as MRE's. Here is the original email:

Seek Preemie Clothes and MRE's :

Millerville Rd and Old Hammond Hwy area , seeking any preemie clothes such as onezees-nighties type stuff. My grandson was born 4-1-09 with Goldenhar syndrome and he only weighs 5 lbs even though he was full term. Any mre's would be appreciated to help us offset the price of the bottles they are $23.99 without tax. I appreciate all the help and thank you . Rita (will travel- Baton Rouge - L.S.U. Her grandson , though fullterm was born with Goldenhar Syndrome. Goldenhar syndrome is Goldenhar Syndrome is a congenital birth defect which involves deformities of the face. It usually affects one side of the face only. Characteristics include:
a partially formed or totally absent ear (microtia)
the chin may be closer to the affected ear
one corner of the mouth may be higher than the other
benign growths of the eye
a missing eye

Rita and her family were unaware of her grandson's condition despite numerous ultrasounds and a healthy pregnancy.
